Declaring permissions

To use the TextToSpeech SDK APIs, declare the TTS_SERVICE permission in your app's AndroidManifest.xml.

    <uses-permission android:name="pleos.car.permission.TTS_SERVICE" />

This permission is required by APIs that access the TextToSpeech service, including SDK initialization, event listener registration, app registration, and speech synthesis requests.

caution

Without this permission, SDK initialization or API calls can fail. If a callback reports PERMISSION_DENIED, verify the permission declaration in the manifest and the permission state in the runtime environment.

After declaring the permission, initialize the SDK.
