App Review Guidelines

Please refer to the essential development guide, which outlines mandatory requirements that must be followed before development to ensure a safe and healthy vehicle app ecosystem. The Pleos App Market, an in-vehicle app store platform (hereinafter referred to as "App Market"), prioritizes the safety of both drivers and passengers. It particularly focuses on verifying elements that may distract drivers (potential threats to driver safety or inducements to risky behavior) and cyber security threats during the app review process. In any case, if an app is deemed to pose a risk to driving safety or could lead to safety issues, submission may be rejected. Therefore, prior to submitting the app for review, ensure that it is designed with user safety in mind, functions as intended, does not contain inappropriate content, and is free of privacy leaks and virus-related risks by following the Pre-Submission Checklist. If the app violates regulations related to safety design, functionality, content, privacy, or cybersecurity, the review may be rejected. Compliance with the provided guidelines does not guarantee the complete elimination of risks. If additional risks are identified during the review process, submission may be rejected.

Content Safety

App Market aims to provide users with a safe and satisfying experience. Therefore, submitted apps must not contain excessively explicit, violent, or offensive content. Harmful content that may cause mental or physical harm to users or lead to privacy breaches or financial losses may be rejected during the review. Additionally, apps that allow minors to access inappropriate content without parental consent may be rejected.

See the detailed guide for Content Safety.

App Functionality and Performance Stability

Submitted apps must function properly and must not cause hardware/software damage or significant performance degradation. Additionally, all metadata for the submitted app must be accurate and up to date. Temporary files or content must be excluded from the app, and the submitted app must match the actual service content. Ensure all necessary steps have been completed before submission.

See the detailed guide for App Functionality and Performance Stability.

Minimizing Driver Distraction Elements

To design an app that maintains continuous interaction with the driver while driving, it is necessary to adhere to design principles that minimize driver distraction. Be sure to review the Pleos Connect UI Design Guide guide for Pleos Connect before submitting your developed app. However, compliance with the provided guidelines does not guarantee the complete elimination of risks. If additional driver distraction risks are identified during the review, the app may be rejected.

See the detailed guide for Minimizing Driver Distraction Elements.

Pleos App Market Registration Information

The basic information of apps uploaded to the App Market must be conveyed transparently without distortion or misleading content and must not contain inappropriate material. Apps that use users' personal or location data must submit terms of service and a data processing policy, and the developer and administrator of the app must be able to prove their legitimacy. If deceptive behavior is detected through metadata manipulation, the App Market may immediately remove the app and impose permanent sanctions.

See the detailed guide for Pleos App Market Registration Information.

User Privacy & Security

Apps that use user personal information must have security measures in place for protecting it. Additionally, when using personal information, details on its usage and any third parties it is shared with must be transparently provided, and user consent must be obtained. Misusing SDKs provided for app development or improperly using user data without authorization is strictly prohibited.

See the detailed guide for User Privacy & Security.
