Content Safety
App Market aims to provide users with a safe and satisfying experience. Therefore, submitted apps must not contain excessively explicit, violent, or offensive content. Harmful content that may cause mental or physical harm to users or lead to privacy breaches or financial losses may be rejected during the review. Additionally, apps that allow minors to access inappropriate content without parental consent may be rejected.
Inappropriate Content
Apps containing media content must refer to the Age Rating section and comply with the regulatory requirements of the target country or region. If an app functions as a media platform (OTT, webtoons, etc.) or allows user-generated content, it must include a filtering feature and a reporting channel for inappropriate content. However, if certain inappropriate content is included for public interest or for educational, scientific, documentary, or artistic (ESDA) purposes, it may be permitted.
Content That Threatens Safety
Apps must not contain content that encourages, promotes, advertises, or glorifies dangerous driving behaviors, such as drunk driving, speeding, or running red lights. If advertising alcohol, the app must comply with advertising regulations in the service country or region and include warnings about the dangers of drunk driving.
Explicit Content
Apps must not contain excessive nudity, pornography, or services that provide sexual gratification, as prohibited by the laws of the service country or region. Additionally, apps that facilitate, promote, or broker sexual acts for compensation will be rejected.
Violent Content
Apps must not contain excessive violence (e.g., assault, gore, terrorism) or content that promotes or glorifies such violence. Apps must not contain extreme profanity or abusive language. Apps must not contain violent content that exceeds the legal limits of the service country or region.
Harmful Content
Apps must not contain content that could cause physical harm to users or place them in dangerous situations.
Content that promotes dangerous themes such as suicide or self-harm is prohibited. In particular, any act that threatens children's safety is strictly forbidden. Content that encourages children to extend parts of their body outside a vehicle is prohibited.
Illegal Content
Content must not facilitate or promote criminal activities. Content must not promote, encourage, or advertise any activity or element that threatens individual or public safety, such as terrorism (or terrorist organizations), drug use, weapons, or human trafficking.
Gambling Content
Content that promotes, advertises, or provides access to gambling involving real-money transactions or illegal gambling must not be included.
Discriminatory Content
Content that discriminates against, promotes, or glorifies discrimination based on race, religion, gender, or similar factors must not be included.
Sensitive Content
Content that involves or capitalizes on disasters, accidents, wars, conflicts, epidemics, or other sensitive topics must not be included.
Unauthorized Items
Content that promotes or sells unauthorized items must not be included. It is prohibited to facilitate the sale or purchase of prescription drugs without a prescription, including unauthorized food, medicine, or medical devices.
Protection of Minors and Children
Content involving child abuse, exploitation, or sexual material targeting children, as well as apps that create or distribute such content or put children at risk, are strictly prohibited. Media content must receive an age rating from the relevant rating board of the service’s target country or region.
Child Abuse
Content that includes violence, exploitation, abuse, or sexual material targeting children must not be included.
- This includes, but is not limited to, child sexual exploitation, child trafficking, and child grooming.
- Additionally, cases involving the creation, distribution, promotion, or facilitation of such content can be reported.
Apps that appeal to children but contain adult themes are prohibited.

Protection of Minors
App screens, previews, thumbnails, in-app screenshots, and product images accessible without additional authentication must display only content suitable for all audiences.
Age Rating
The App Market age rating is assigned based on questionnaire responses, and all answers must be truthful. If content that does not comply with the assigned age rating is found within the uploaded app, the App Market may restrict access to the app or report it.
An app’s content rating and required warnings apply to media (such as movies, music, and games), and all region-specific requirements must be followed.
Other Content Guidelines
Apps must not infringe intellectual property rights protected by copyrights, patents, or other means. If properly substantiated, intellectual property violations can be reported through the App Market’s complaint platform.
Reported apps will have their download path restricted and must provide legal justification within a specified period. Failure to provide justification within the given period may result in permanent removal of the app or developer from the App Market.
Intellectual Property Rights
Apps must not use protected materials such as trademarks, copyrighted works, or patented ideas without permission. Apps must not enable unauthorized use of copyrighted content, promote or facilitate copyright infringement, infringe on trademarks, or sell/advertise counterfeit products. Persons or entities with legitimate rights must submit proof of their rights in advance or upon request.
User-Generated Content
Apps utilizing user-generated or AI-generated content must not create, upload, or share harmful, inappropriate, or privacy-threatening content. Such apps must implement content filtering and include reporting features to inform developers of inappropriate content.
Blockchain-Based Content
Apps that mine cryptocurrency will be rejected during review.
- Mining can cause hardware damage, negatively impact performance, and pose user safety risks, making it strictly prohibited.
Probability-Based Item Content
Apps that provide loot boxes or other mechanisms designed for purchasing random virtual items must disclose the probability of obtaining each item type before purchase.
