App Tagging Guide

This is a guide for app tagging for developers registering apps in the Pleos App Market and Pleos App Market Console. Even if the original app title is in a foreign language and is displayed in Korean in the service, please adhere to the following tagging standards for search accuracy and identification.

Applicable Targets

The tagging standards in this guide apply to apps that meet the following two conditions:

  • Apps registered in the Pleos App Market and Pleos App Market Console
  • The original app title is in a foreign language, and a Korean title is used concurrently or as a replacement

Tagging Standards

English Tags Required

If the official title of the app is in a foreign language (e.g., English), the original (English) app name must be added as a tag even if it is displayed in Korean in the service.

  • The English tag must be identical to the official app name. Arbitrary abbreviations or modifications are not allowed.

Korean Tags (Optional)

When a Korean title is used concurrently or as a replacement, Korean tags can be added to improve search and user recognition. English tags are mandatory as mentioned above, regardless of whether Korean tags are added.

Multilingual App Names

If the app officially uses multilingual titles, the official name in each language can be added as a tag. In this case, English tags must still be included.

Example

CategoryContent
Official App Name (English)Sport
Display Title (Korean)스포츠
Required TagSport
Optional Tags스포츠, 운동, etc.

Notes for Review

  • Apps that do not comply with these standards may be rejected or subject to modification requests during the review process.
  • If missing or incorrect tags are identified, app modifications may be required.
